Peek through the veil and learn man’s secret
Man’s very own unacceptable attributes lie dormant in his unconscious
his flaws seep out in other people as a looking glass
forcing him to see his truth the best way he knows how
though he judges the man in front of him
causing a projection instead of a reflection
wearing his conceit as a security blanket
due to the fragility of his self esteem
confusing his mind, body and spirit into idleness
bewildering many who cross his path
as a deer would be caught in headlights
true assurance comes through self-awareness
the man in front of you
next to you
is not thy enemy
the man looking into the mirror is.
